Brakspear

Brakspear is a small, friendly, family company which has been in the business of running pubs for over 200 years. Based in Henley on Thames, our tenanted and leased pubs are renowned for being some of the most beautiful in the country, through an area which spreads from the East coast, around London, the Chilterns, the Thames Valley and the Cotswolds..

Brakspear is passionate about great people running great pubs and are always selectively searching for partners to work with. Being a family company means we don’t have to worry about external shareholders, so our business strategy is about long-term growth rather than short-term gains. We offer 5 year tenancies or 10 year leases.

We care about our licensees and treat them as individuals. Whether you are an experienced landlord or about to run your first pub, we will support you in every way we can. Our three Business Development Managers look after around 35 pubs each; much lower than the industry average. We also offer support for marketing, interior design, PR, property, and cellar and beer services. We believe in the importance of training and offer free (or heavily subsidised) courses for all our tenants and lessees.

We are small enough to care yet large enough to invest in you. The right investments in the right pubs with the right people can transform a business. We work with you to take a project from the seed of an idea through to completion.

This is a very brief overview of what we offer and the way we do business. We are open, honest and believe in working with long term partners to run fantastic pubs.
