Baroosh Cambridge has relaunched its private hire room in an event spanning two nights, following the major refurbishment that has returned the cinematic heritage to the room at the old cinema building. The room, renamed “The Intermission”, was the star of prestigious events attended by local guests, businesses and journalists who were able to enjoy the new surroundings with champagne and canapés.
The space has a capacity for seventy-five guests standing, or forty seated, and can be concealed from the main bar area behind ‘magic glass’ that hides the room from sight with the flick of a switch. Inside the room there are multiple seating areas, including a circular booth with chandelier lighting and a soft seating area to provide a diverse atmosphere.
To recreate the retro cinema feel, silent movies can be projected onto the walls alongside the movie star artwork and décor under new mood lighting. The private roof terrace adds to the exclusivity as the perfect extension to any event and is available to guests for private parties, conferences, meetings or even film screenings.
Lara Burns, Area Manager of Baroosh Cambridge, commented: “We had two fantastic evenings with everyone in the local area, both regular guests and new visitors coming down to enjoy the exciting look of The Intermission, washed down with a glass of bubbly. The new look and feel of the room received so much positive feedback from the attendees and we are sure they will all be back to use the room for their functions again soon.”
