About Robinsons

While Robinsons is a name built on a long heritage (176 years to be exact), they certainly aren’t afraid of moving with the times and spending a pretty penny along the way. In fact, they’re now the proud owners of a brand new energy-efficient brew house which not only brings 'cutting edge' technology alongside the vintage, it also retains more flavour within the beer and boasts the world’s largest Hopnik – basically a 2.5m tea strainer – meaning more adventurous lip-smacking ales.

Combining an impressive heritage, stretching from 1838, with innovation, Robinsons is one the UK’s largest family brewers, boasting more than 300 pubs. ‘Robinsons pub country’ stretches from Carlisle straight through the Lake District down to the heart of Wales, and from low-lying Anglesey across through Cheshire and Staffordshire to the heights of Derbyshire. An integral part of the Robinsons family, you’d be hard pressed not to stumble across a Robinsons pub that offers a warm welcome and friendly service in the great British tradition.

Their family of ales includes heritage brews such as Old Tom (first brewed in 1899 and winner of The World’s Best Ale) and Unicorn (born in 1896 and gold medal winner at The Brewing Industry International Awards), with lively young ales such as Dizzy Blonde and TROOPER (one of Britain's most innovative beers; created with heavy metal rock legends Iron Maiden).

Number of pubs: Over 300

Recruitment:

From the rustic to the urban, the traditional to the contemporary, whether you want to tap into the tourist trade or make a livelihood among the locals, Robinsons Brewery has more than 300 pubs situated within the stunning settings of Cheshire, Derbyshire, Cumbria and Wales.

Robinsons have been setting the gold standard in brewing for over 175 years, but it’s their augmented package of support which really sets the Cheshire family brewers apart from the competition. “There’s a holistic view here”, says William Robinson, joint Managing Director of Robinsons. “If we can give our tenants the right support, they get a better business, we get a better business, everyone wins and ultimately you attract better licensees.”

All pubs are different but if you have the right attitude, a good head for figures and a willingness to invest in your own pub business ... Robinsons have the right pub for you! With business experts in beer, wine, catering, property, marketing and much much more, Robinsons make sure their tenants have all the support they need to succeed.
