In 2006, the brewing and brands operations set up a joint venture with Young’s & Co plc to form Wells & Young’s Brewing Company Ltd - now a leading supplier of speciality beers in Britain and one of the top three brewers of cask beer in the country.

The pub operations acquired its own identity as Charles Wells Pub Company within the family group and retains its original family values whilst applying modern retailing skills.
