Batemans Brewery was founded in 1874 and is still today an independent family brewery. The retail side of the business is branded 'Batemans Profit Partnership' ; the team is proud of its slogan 'Good Honest Pubs Run by Good Honest People'. Batemans is totally focused on helping tenants to run successful profitable businesses, only too well aware that a profitable tenant makes a profitable brewery...not the the other way round! The tenancy agreement is based on REWARD, with opportunities to actually be paid for increasing the business. Furthermore Batemans have removed the rent review clause from their agreement providing the prospective tenant with complete confidence that they will not be penalised for their endeavours at rent review. The Profit Partnership Managers can really make a difference by helping to put more money in to the tenants' pockets. No member of the team has more than 28 pubs to look after and Batemans commit to visiting their tenants once every four weeks for a minuted review meeting.
